Sullen, silent, sorrow
Like a blanket smothering sound
Of laughter in the next room
Slips over the head and….
Sickens

Eccentric, existential, erotic
Ego dances under the moon
Naked flesh shivering, devilish delight
As witches whisper hexes….
Envying

Deeper, darkness, downward
Dipping into the abyss of shadow
Slippery thoughts theft the brain
Bigotry, prejudice beckons…
Deceit

Awkward, aroused, alive… or naught?
Experience questions the moment.
Light flickers on distant sea
And a dolphin flips high….
Awaking

Arrowed arrogance arcs the sky,
Piercing the barrier of silence
“I am not dead,” the voice implies,
Echoing defiance in mastery…
Alone

Twilight, twinkling, together or naught,
Night hovers on the whisper
Of a footstep…
“It is becoming,” the voice sighs,
Triumph

Gnarled fingers, gnashing teeth
Torrential disaster creeps in on sleep
Floodgates spew, and a crow caws in pain,
As fire, flies hot…
Gathering

Oceans steam, orca’s slip deep
Ignorant blanket is growing.
Ashes fall and singe the world.
Mother’s womb weeps….
Overflowing

“I am not dead,” the voice cries again,
Only now there is no one to hear it…
Blackest pitch mars the heart,
Crested shield, locks compassion, apart
Dead or naught…. Awake or asleep….
Indifference is hastening destruction.
