Beware the Tightening Thrall

Dolphin she, majestically glides,
Her fins applaud in playful joy.
Dance in shallowest, ocean tides,
Within the water she does toy.
Frolics with ease, in deepest sea,
Delving into the darkest deep.
Reaching forward, so endlessly,
Passing by many foe she’ll creep.
Careful of the sailors vessel,
Casting off, the perilous trawl.
If captured, she’ll have to wrestle,
Warring with the tightening thrall.

This is just so...JOYOUS!!!
The way the images tumble over each other; the way the meter loops confidently forward: it captures the sheer love and lust for life of a dolphin. And, one presumes and hopes, of our poetess.
There is, of course, a hint of danger; the threat inherent in "...the darkest deep": but it's difficult to pay it much mind amidst such carefree playfulness. Maybe that's a mistake?! But life in the Tightening Thrall (love the title, by the way) is just too much fun...
...as is this joyously wonderful poem!!
I LOVE IT!!!
