Past the awkwardness of me

But he simply wouldn't go

He kept smiling his amazing smile

Until I was forced to say hello

His eyes became the mirror

Reflecting what he saw in me

For the first time in my life

Through his eyes, I saw my beauty

He looked beyond the plainness

Past the awkwardness of me

He kept smiling his amazing smile

Until I too, began to see
