BIRTHDAY IN TWO THOUSAND YEARS TIME

Actually it was in October but of course that's immaterial,
because Jesus was to live forever at the end of it all;
only thirty three - at that time what was your mystery?
Had you decided your destiny or too busy with infidelity?

Did you have a cross to bear or was everything easy?
A carpenter doing rough work, not a joiner's identity,
now, that work was better than what you and I could do,
maybe because he had the masterful skills of a Jew. 

Not only with wood but with the future of all mankind,
you are in his shadow and will always trail behind,
