Black Widow

Black Widow

The image of beauty and elegance,
She was the image of the perfect woman,
Kind and Motherly, she stole all the men's hearts,
All except mine.

For I had dealt with a creature such as this many times before,
Always ending with a knife in the back,
Though her voice was melodic and she had tried to entice me,
I stayed my distanced, weary of her.

She had soon married a man twice her age, with money,
It didn't surprise me in the slightest,
Nor did it surprise me when his body was discovered but there was no evidence to convince her,
However, I knew the truth, that behind her perfect exterior lurked a black widow.
