Bonnie and Clyde
Dastardly thwart utmost belied
Rest in peace Bonnie and Clyde
No honorable passage for thee
Bullets score, I guarantee
Along a deserted path
Lawmen exact bloodbath
Riddled by projectile render
No chance for final surrender
Faulty t'was bias reaction
Cast upon poetic impassion
Sojourn on mortal plane
Brief a deviant campaign
Come hither just dessert
Dance upon plotted culvert
Entombed miles apart
Nary to entwine counterpart

Romantisised in film, yet vicious and brutal murderers.but when we think of them how easy it to just imagine them as a young couple in love...love the tone of this unusual subject matter..another wonderfully expressive and emotive write ! Lodigiana xx
Thank you kindly Ana I was reading about their escapades and itβs said Bonnie was never convicted of anything.but myself I thought the law was rather cowardly ambushing them not even giving them a chance to surrender. It said she screamed for mercy but then was shot twice in the head Clyde was killed instantly
Great jobΒ

Nice poem Lisa. I once used an image of Bonnie & Clyde for a love poem I wrote about me and my wife (I very rarely write love poems). It was called Partner In Crime. You'll have more than likely commented on it. This is a true tribute to the actual outlaws though. Very well written.
