Book of a Broken Heart

See this book
Book of a broken heart
If you can learn to read between the lines
You will find things I have never shown...
Pain;
This pain and how it has grown.
And if you flip page
by torn and tattered page
You will read about a time I thoughtΒ
Your only goal was to prove I had a heart
simply by breaking it.
The cover to this book-
Soft and delicate velvet
Now being worn out by wear, tear, and time.
The binder-
Torn and tortured leather
that no longer has the strengthΒ
to hold my life my secrets
my waitings and wantings and longingsΒ
Together
as it has for so long now.
Never to be removed from its rightful place
High out of sight on a shelf covered in dust
Fearing that if it is ever moved in such a way
All that is inside will come spilling forth
Revealing my everything for all the world
To read
