Breathing in Absentia

Breathing in Absentia

A cigarette for breakfast,Ā
as the tv bleats the news,
You feel sorry for yourself,
so the world can keep itā€™s blues.
Itā€™s just another day where shame looks within,
And now itā€™s not so easy to shower away that sin.Ā

Thereā€™s money in your pocket,Ā
food in the fridge,
And clothes upon ya back.
Thereā€™s money in your pocket,Ā
food in the fridge,
But nothing to believe in.

Youā€™ve read all the books,
but still youā€™ve got to choose,
Those facts you want to keep,Ā
and those you have to lose.
Itā€™s just another night with doubt inside your bed,
And now itā€™s not so easy to forget those things you said.

Time you spendā€¦oh,
ā€¦Looking for a miracle.
You give your lifeā€¦oh,
ā€¦searching for a miracle.
Oh, oh, oh, oh, looking for aĀ Ā miracle.
Oh, oh, oh, oh no.
