Bricks

People leave.
Always leave.
Never stay.
It’s not okay.

Every time.
One go’s.
I put a brick.
No one knows.

When they lie.
Another brick.
I start to cry.
add another.

Feeling weak?
Another brick.
Fail someone’s needs?
Again another.

Brick after brick.
Lie after Lie.
Tear upon tear.
In the end i don't want to cry.

Build the wall so high.
My tears are trapped.
Make it so strong.
No one will truly get in.

They believe they did.
They most likely didn't.
It’s built so strong,
Only someone with a stronger one can break it down.

Wall upon wall.
I have thousands here.
Surrounding my heart.
Barely any air.

Sometimes even I get trapped outside.
Can’t get past the wall.
Back to my home.
Even if it’s my own.

But mostly i am trapped
Surrounded by bricks.
Tears and screams overflowing.
I drown in my own sea.

Will I ever be fixed?
