Bridge

Bridge

I look up at the castle before me.

Its crystallized windows shine as i make my way towards the bridge.
It makes its way down, eventually falling besides my feet.

Cross I shall do.

And when i cross.

I shall succeed.
I take the first step, the world seemed to be put in slow motion.
I take another, I notice cracks aligning the edges.
I pass by them, just to stubble across more.
Now barefooted I walk the bridge.
Ignoring the troubles ahead of me,I notice red.
Alas, I have stepped on the wrong place, bringing red to coat my feet.
They bleed, leaving me numb.
I hold onto it, crawling to make it across.
One more step. One more is all I need.
I stand, pushing aside the sting below me.
Finally, i have crossed.
