Bring Down the Curtain

Bring Down the Curtain

Hello there stranger,
in the depths of the night,
don't be afraid,
I won't bite,
there is something about you,
I can't quite tell,
maybe its just me,
from the pits of hell;
mind if I join you,
you look the type,
that walk alone,
again every night,
on the edge of town,
beneath shivering light,
you look rather pale,
don't seem alright,
sit down here,
leave your coat,
what would it be,
clear the throat;
"Watch your step,
don't look behind,
just passing through,
bear in mind,
room for rent,
cash in advance,
day or night,
take a chance,
while we are at it let it be known,
no disturb sign,
no telephone."
