BRING IT ON

BRING IT ON

You thought you had me beat
You thought that I would crumble
And maybe for a while, I did
But now I'm ready to rumble
I refuse to run away
I'm ready to give it all I've got
Hitting, swinging in the dark
Fighting with a blind spot
Come on, BRING IT ON
I'm ready for this fight
A child's fear became a woman's anger
As I recognized in hindsight
You only run from things you're afraid of
Things you've imagined, coming near
The child ran, but the woman rose up
Ready to conquer her greatest fear
Anger became her strength and courage
Revealing the warrior, deep inside
Anger replaced her helplessness
Where fear and trauma use to reside
Now she says: BRING IT ON
I'm ready to rumble
I'm not the fearful child anymore
That you thought would simply crumble
