Poem -

Broken hearted with you not around

To miss you rips my heart to pieces.
To tatters.

Tears it into two.

Nothing to repair,

or will repair it.

No kind of tape,

Sealant or even the most superior of super glue.

I feel so alone and un-anchored,

So far away from shore,

Simply being withdrawn from you.

I just can't stop thinking about being in your arms.

Yearning for your touch,

Or seeing a footprint,

left in some sand from your shoe.

At least then I know you are around.

I love the warmth and light you do imbue.

I can't wait for that special day.

When you become my wife,

After saying 'I DO,

I DO,

MY GOD YES,

I DO'!

You've mesmerised me from the start.

Making me googly eyed.

Making me want us to never part.

I’ve never been love struck like this before.

I’ve never enjoyed a relationship so much so,

I know we’ll ever last.

I know that no matter the obstacle,

We can handle it as a couple,

No matter the given task.

I love how we’ve never really argued.

Even now,

Nearly a year and a month we’ve passed.

No matter what’s going on around us,

We seem to handle anything in our stride.

We are that strong,

I’m sure we’d last an atomic blast.

Being in the middle of the mushroom cloud,

Swept up in its radioactive fire storm.

As If we have an atomic pass.

We live for the future,

The here and the now.

Both leaving behind,

Our more than turbulent past.

We’ve something so strong.,

We could design our own family type crest,

Stitch it to a flag and have it flying ,

On the worlds every single small and Tall mast.

As I truly love you and forever I shall do.

Where as what I thought was love,

In past relationships,

Is juxtaposition,

In complete contrast!

Loving you isn’t just amazing.

Loving you is pure addiction.

I know that forever and a day,

You’d never cause me pain or any kind of affliction.

Each time we see each other,

We only ever add more love to the equation.

Never once has it been Frosty between us,

No sign of friction.

We are what fairy tales describe of love.

Yet ours is non fiction.

I finally feel at this point in my life,

Happy and ecstatic,

With my lifes’,

Final completion.

Everything between us is fair.

No rivals.

No parental division.

Each discussing before acting and making any wrong decision.

Never letting our kids or anyone get between us,

Causing no division.

We are free to do as we please.

Not feeling like we are in a relationship type prison.

No need to ask each other to do anything.

No need to ask for permission.

I love that neither has to shout at one and other.

All it takes is a simple discussion.

We iron things out,

There and then.

Not leaving it to fester and ending up in an explosion!

Cupids arrow hit me directly in the middle of my heart.

Before even meeting her,

Directly from the start.

No rebounds or second tries.

Just like getting bulls-eye,

When throwing,

A really well thrown dart.

Cupid this time,

Has made our love,

Into the most perfect form of love art.

His arrow has us close together.

Never shall we part.
