Broken Lines

I have written these lines before
But I always come back to write them
And anytime I write these lines, I fall
I fall back into the past that rejected me
Into the arms of the beloved who never loved me
Into the arms of an evading of magic  
I have never given all my heart away
These lines remind me of when I did
These lines remind me of when I started living
These lines remind me of when I first loved
These lines remind me of why I love
And still, they are mostly lines of pain
These lines keep me writing
These lines are broken lines
The tenses are not right
These lines are not perfect
These lines are not whole
Such is life!
