Broken Toe

I didn't know when I hit my toe

And my toe and the kitchen chair collided,

I scratched my head, and went to bed

Didn't know how I slept,  through the pain.

The morning came, I couldn't walk

But I could scream and cry and talk,

I knew it must be broken

I tried to hold back the tears I was choking on..

No i cannot go to work, can't even climb the stairs,

And no I cannot keep the dinner date,

YesI know its your birthday Kate.

And you arranged this long ago,

But listen one more time

I broke my toe

I cannot go, you'll have to go alone!!!!!!

Nice teaching. Hasty decision ought to be controlled.

Ouch! This could be much better if you worked on the meter or the work. Funny poem though, except the part about kicking the chair! Anthony
