BRUSH STROKES
The touch of your compassion
The tears forming in your eyes
As you held and soothed my brokenness
Painting my world with sunny skies
I couldn't see beyond the pain
I had no strength to cope
You painted my world with rainbows
And filled my heart with hope
You painted a silver lining
In the clouds that filled my mind
With the brush strokes of your tenderness
My confusion was left behind
The gentle strokes of your compassion
Opened up my eyes to see
My heart became the canvas
Upon which you painted with love and beauty
Your passionate strokes of love
The work of art, left on my heart
You created a thing of beauty
Upon something, once broken apart
