Burnt Out

Burnt Out

When I decided to tell people
It was the most relieving thing to do
It was because I was choosing me
And not protecting you
It still hurts every inch of my heart
The whole thing was so fucked up
It tore me apart

You’re telling people I’m the worst
Yet you hurt me first
You made me sit up at night
Thinking what is my value to life
You ask me where I get the nerve
When you’re the one who left me burnt

I’m trying to turn myself into someone new
Not live a life defined by you.
