Bursting Light

Bursting Light

As morning's perfection introduces hope for the day,
foreboding evil lurks in the wings.
Unaffected, they forge through steadily embracing
adventure of flight gliding forcefully,
terror unfolds.

Within cherished seconds symbolization of Red, White
and Blue explodes a profusion of orange and crimson,
while life's evanescent fragments scatter against a
crisp panorama-fire bursting bright.

Surreal horror unfolds as melting buildings slowly collapse,
smoky rubble of destruction gradually cascades
                 down
                       down
                             down...

Billowing haze engulfs the city revealing a haunting
raven cloud,
the Melting Pot transforms into imposing chaos,
the stench and taste of death ascends.

Days pass, stark declaration and ghostly reality
envelops helpless hearts as quiet spectators observe
hellish images streaming news and radio,
seared pictures expose demonic atrocities beyond thoughts.

Digesting unpredictable horror layered with insurmountable pain,
inconceivable tragedy eventuates our country, our world,
evil boldly rearing its diabolical and ideological head.

Void of fathomable words to conceptualize cold calculated abhorrence,
troubled hearts grasp for numbing anesthetics, anything,
leaving impressions of desperation drawn from non-acceptance and blood-soaked helplessness.

Forever in our hearts and memories....

Hi, Cherie!

Yes, we much never forget!

A hard thing to write about, but I needed to pen down my heartbroken thoughts.

I appreciate your kind remarks and you taking the time to read my piece.

We will never forget that day when the world turned into an absolute mayhem//
but we must move on, to do otherwise is to let terrorism win// great tribute to those lost on that dat.

hugs

Hi, Leah!

Yes, you are so correct! Thanks so much for reading and commenting on my piece!
A poem that is hard to read because of the sad and despicable reality! ?

Be well!
