Butterfly (a sunflowers poem)

i just want love
but it's never enough,
or maybe it's too much
and its hard to clutch,
i don't ever mean to move too slow or be in a rush
im just following my heart for a soul to touch

but its hard to trust
when my heart can be easily taken advantaged of
no matter what, when it comes to us
i wont give up, because sincerely,
i do give a fuck

most say that im an incredible guy
but yet no woman ever wants to stay by my side
and i always wonder why, maybe because sometimes im shy
or could it be because of how hard i try?
or is it because of what you say to me is a lie?
or maybe its because your head is way to high in the sky
that you dont realize what you do is wrong or right
and it adds a little bit of fuckin stress on my life

if you think it's confusing
just remember your heart isn't shattered man
it's just a bruising
it takes time when you feel like your losing
just like me, after long days and nights of heavy boozing

don't ever feel bad, because for me
most of the time it's never ever meant to be
but i know one day, that a woman will see
she's what makes me breathe
because love is what i bleed

you do your thing and ill do my thing
lets chase each others dreams if we're all that we need
i am not the one to leave
and i know that you think that it's hard to believe
but i will always be, i will never flee
i believe in a thing called love, peace, and honesty

you're the only one who makes me feel that everythings real
revealing my love without having it to be concealed
your not the only butterfly in a world of sunflower fields
i will always be here until your feelings for me disappears
its pretty clear that losing you is what i fear
and the chances with us right now seem pretty mere
but i promise you that until the end, i will be right here.

i had a blast and i still dont understand why it had to end so fast
cuddling, kissing, and holding hands as we laughed
no more of that, im trying to have a tight grasp
on my heart before i collapse
and now i can't remember when was the last time i ever felt so relaxed

every day waking up looking at another butterly
always giving me hope im going to find my true love someday

always waking up everyday thinking about the same butterfly
because every other day i look at another butterfly
and i don't see them the same way, same way

i would like to tell you about a special place
where i close my eyes and fade away
its beyond the moon, stars, and space
more than anything my heart can ever say
i want to show you the way

in this special place you see
there are only two people, just you and me
i gave you all that i had and im trying to make it last
i dont want you to be just another memory from the past

no one to tell us we can't kiss or touch
i don't just tell you "i love you"
i show you how much

for once in my life, i felt so alive
now im just another sunflower struggling to survive
