Cadillac

Cadillac

I wish I could open my eyes and be standing in the 50’s eraĀ
Motown and Ā Cadillac records, smoke and jazz, tequilaĀ
The clothes, raw talent singing the blues, Ā what a time to be aliveĀ
When music made your blood run hot, stirring you on to striveĀ
Ā Pure talent, written stories that stayed in our hearts forever moreĀ
Soul and fire on the beat of the track, sweating behind the studio doorĀ
The bands would play, for hours on end, preaching that perfect songĀ
Electric blues and rock and roll, Ā singing their story strongĀ

Music made so powerful, Ā songs etched into our soulsĀ
The great singing stories of mowtown, that will live on and never grow old
