CALL MY NAME

CALL MY NAME

I am brave, I am tough
I am not supposed to cry
                  Instead I laugh,
My call unheard, my voice is cut
                  I need to say
                  Instead I shut,
My arms extended, I want to receive
                  My hands are too proud
                  Instead I retrieve,
                  I am lost, I need a guide
                  I do not show
                  Instead I hide.
Throw a seed around my heart,
                  Something will grow,
                  As through the crack
                  Light can pass.
I am steel, I am flower,
I am strong, I am fragile,
                  Enlace your fingers
                  Enclose your hands
                  Protect my soul
                  -Call my name.
