Can You Hear What I Hear

Can You Hear What I Hear

The sounds of bells are in the air, they jingle and jangle, and the bell towers chime

For its that time of year for all to be merry and put up the lights for its Christmas time

The lights are shining, the shopping malls busy, and the packages of many they're sending

Can you hear what I hear its the holiday cheer every year with music ringing and children singing

The most lovely moments are times like these, shared with friends and family all so caring

Sharing memories under the tree and gifts that mean so much to each who give this be

The one time a year that our hearts give out to those in need, don't let a child be without

Let us hear their tears and then bring them cheers from across the country give out

In peace and harmony lets listen and speak out for those in hunger and pain we pray

Our soldiers in war time we miss so much lets send them a card, some candy and love

Can you hear what I hear, its a calling of the times so near to bring us back together

Love the world and sing our songs of joy shared by the notes I hear on my piano this season of hope
