Cape Town Memories

Cape Town Memories

The nice white light reflected on white coral sand,
the snapper asked for a photo, looked so tanned,
gays and jews strolled like it was the promised land,
it was, but not free since Mandela had been banned.

The time frrame was naked, knew it was coming with her,
she said; 'Never mind, I'll grow it for you in winter.'
You knew that paradise sometimes doesn't really last,
before you could gather your beach bag, beauty had passed.

You could smell Atlantic ozone and Indian sea mystique,
viisible from both sides of the Table mountain peak,
the 'tablecloth' draped, looked like been there forever,
cable cars swung in azure sky, land of never never.

Never to be forgotten, sun rose and fell on your chest,
it took you away as it finally set in the magical west.
