Poem -
Cascading
the sunlight cascades
from the tip of my toes
up to my brown silken strands
the over abundance of life
flows through me
just as a hurricane
desire claims my core
shouting through my bones
as the taste of hunger
is penetrating
every layer
every fiber
aching desperately
for that which
is capable of more
a steadfast mind
an unwavering heart
a silent soul
which feels worlds apart
breathing in
slowly
breathing out
eyes opened wide
taking one
footstep, and
moment
at a time
