A Valentine card with faded colors, the ink is almost gone

A box of chocolate,tied up with a big red rose in velvet, now, empty

I look back, with tears in my eyes, as I remember our favorite song

Laughter in the rain, the drops keep falling down, I beg you to stay

I fall to my knees, and you catch me, in your arms, we hold on so tight

Why must you leave, we may never know, what true love really means

But, off and on, throughout the years, I pick up the phone, I dial you

Then hang up, I look at a photo, you and I, at the prom, all dressed up

Your arms around me, I fall in love, you catch me, and carry me away

Never the same, though still a memory, I keep locked up, very safe

And when I fall, I know you will catch me, place me on a pillow of feathers

I then, fall to sleep, dreaming of your deep dark brown eyes, and my eyes of blue
