Caught In The Rain

Caught In The Rain

The purpose of my moving to the mysterious
was not without faith or question
She only wanted to know when madness would strike
as rain fell
Thunder rolled with hefty clouds of ash and silt
We're on a podium of romance, Olympian-built
Our hearts have raced
We've finished
We've gone
Far to the south, north, the east and west, outer rims, beyond
There is heaven...intangible yet in our sight, hard courses are set
Oblivous are we to darkly dangers, grand illusions, false enlightenment, the fine print in everything we read
Where is our love going as fallacies lead?
If we come to a cliff, will we jump or fall?
Whether we plummet or fly to a new horizon, we will know
that we exceeded what we could not do alone
Because we belong together
We get caught in the rain and lose the sun, but we find light
Lightning flashes before our eyes and the madness begins
Speaking of forever, outlasting and outshining stars and gems, surpassing perpetual rivers
Falling madly is like that
Madly in love
Caught in a beautiful rain
We take cover, wait for a break
Lost in each other's eyes
As lightning fills the skies
Thunder rolls, heaven cries
Clouds of ash and silt, they darken
To the booming peals we harken
We hear our hearts
Rains may torrent to deluge
Storms may leave no refuge
We see our love
And the fine print in everything becomes clear...
