Celtic Sonata

Celtic Sonata

Briny zephyr Celtic kist
Smoky shroud on Loch mist
Abysmal moon arise
Neon haze to weary eyes

Echoes o’ raven din
Crickets warble a mandolin
Waters lap ashore
Nuance feeds lore

Quietude incites twitchy air
On lands boundlessly fair
Fearless in dark of night
Shadows hide in plain sight

Tombs dot emerald grass
Kinsmen long to pass
As currents drift by
Beauteous tis starlit sky

Apparitions of long ago
Under a moon hung low
Fireflies frenzied alight
Burnt cinders by night
