Changes

 Everyone ,s been through something

That,s changed them in a way

They never could go back to

The person,they once were,they,d say

Whether it be a birth

An addition to the family

Or whether it,s a death?

It changes you as a person

In every single way

It could be domestic violence

That changes you !.. More than you know?

Feeling nervous & frightened

You feel.. afraid in your own home

It could be family squabbles

That get right out of hand

Relationships, in quickening sands

It could be that you lost your job!

& are stuck at home all day

Or could be that you work too much?

Not enough hours in the day.. you,d say

It could be that your lonely?

Too much time on your hands

Or ya mates call on you too often

& leave you totaly drained

Your time is not your own!

Each day bring,s it,s surprises

What  ever, it is that,s changing you?

You told the truth ! or lies?

Try to remember, Who you are

When you close your eye.s

Hold on to your spirit

Before your day ahead

Then despite of what the day brings

Be yourself when you go to bed

When you wake up in the morning

With no idea what it will hold?

Try with all your might

To hold onto your soul

Good or bad, What ever it may be

Hang on tight.. To your sanity

Try your best to remain yourself

Because everything can change

In less than 24 hours

Or someone you could meet?

Could make your life complete

You may get swept off of your feet

But try to keep them on the ground

Otherwise ! It just goes round & round

& messes you right up again

& might hold you up.... for tomorrow
