Changing

Changing

Staring out on to the glistening lake,

Watching the water as it changes its shape.

Waves crashing into the rustic old shore,

Watching and waiting for something more.

As darkness falls, the suns glimmers leave,

Surrounding the lake with the darkness of eve.

We know that the water is still taking form,

In the eerie darkness; always still drawn.

Hearing the noises of the ever-changing tide,

As the moon rises high, optimism opens wide.

Watching the glittering water take hold once again,

Shining the moonlight on dark freckles of distain.

The warmth of the sun arises the next early morn,

The water still stays, and new changes are born.
