Changing Partners

Changing Partners

I'm dancing in heaven wearing a white fluffy dress,
how good this waltz turns out is anyone's guess,
the Argentinian tango is as steamy as you can get,
especially as the upper regions turn into a target.

They say that it's difficult to just keep your distance,
but the American smooth doesn't provide the evidence,
the glitter ball seems to excite and spur everyone on,
must be the cha-cha dynamics when all said and done.

Some forget the rules when entering a competition,
but the paso doble' brings out the worst repetition,
we'll just put all these errors conveniently to one side,
do a quick step to conceal the mistakes we may hide.

So all this extravaganza has made my soul laid bare,
because I've just been disqualified for having an affair.

Hi Terry
This was a lovely to read. Made me think of the song “Life’s a dance” by John Michael Montgomery
I liked how you used dancing as a metaphor for life’s experiences
