                                                                                       and her
                                                                                bleeding knees ..
                                                                                      They all
                                                                             watched her as she
                                                                                      began to
                                                                              chase the bloody
                                                                                       carpet
                                                                            round and around ..
                                                                                     And then

                                                                                    Searching
                                                                          for any tiny speck of
                                                                                   crack dust
                                                                           hiding somewhere
                                                                                      in the
                                                                           shag pile and those
                                                                                     creases
                                                                             on her petticoat
                                                                                   discarded
                                                                          having been thrown
                                                                                    casually
                                                                         across a filth strewn
                                                                               bedroom floor
                                                                         or wherever else she
                                                                                thought her
next lick might be found ..

Hi Nev

you have such away of delivering a single moment in life. Bringing with it every bit of its elements to the surface. Here you force the reader to sense the sad, and desperate soul of one so very lost. It is such a gift you have my friend. Thanks for reminding us all just how low life can become for some of us

just heartbreaking x

Being Me

Powerful writing.  How did I miss this one? Glad I found it. Its a sobering read. That poor girl. Reduced to that! I pictured her quite clearly  in my mind, as I read x
