Checkmate

Self-Reflection

Checkmate

My mind has created,
A constant need for admiration,

Life taught me about patience,
Which lead me to self hatred,

This path is not my own,
Yet I’m expected to be grown,

In a world of all children,
Without fathers and no kindred,

Forced to believe in a God,
Who never answers when called,

At least believing in something,
Is better than nothing at all.
