China Doll

on your case made of glass , I draw hearts with the condensation from the outside, to cheer you up, to make you feel alright, I wonder whats on your mind, eyes glimmer from the porcelain gloss, calling your name hopeful to hear you talk, I sit outside your box looking at my shoes, twisting my buttons, tugging on my socks. you tapped on the case to get my attention, I stood up, put my hands on the box and I began to make faces, I made you laugh then smile. we shared stories of the past, the good and bad, ugly and tragic, told you about my missing pieces and how they were remade of plastic, you told me about previous owners who held your heart but manage to crack it, your imperfection is what made you perfect to me, even tho the sun beats down I can still see the brightness that your smile brings, yank my pull string and ill say something sweet, I can't dance your dance, but I can learn if you would teach, so this is for you straight from me , ill be back on my shelf by myself swinging my feet, looking out the stores windows, wishing I had wings.
