China In Our Hand

We don't know how THEY are getting on - won't tell us,
so. what of future? Perhaps we should nuke them, finish,
it's no good saying that we can't do that, what else?
If we don't, it will happen again - is that what we want??

I don't think so - no good hiding behind silly smiles,
watch the space, the nuclear button, while Trump dials,
such solutions are unthinkable, we are compassionate,
no more capital punishment, no longer allowed to hate.

We have come to this, it could have been many things,
world wars, alien invasion - that's what turned out after all,
no good saying that everything will be fine, coz it's not,
can you tell me, your solution - anything i forgot?

I hope that I'm wrong, we'll get back to 'normal' again,
how can it be, my family wiped out - do you want that pain??
