Poem -

choices at night

~~Every night
I’ve got a choice.
Cut or write?

Last night;
A choice.
I cut.

“A reason?”
“No need.”
“Has hurt hard?”
“Indeed.”
“Why?”
“I’ve lost track.”
“Sigh…”
“Strong impact.”
“Survived?”
“Not intact.”
“Who did it?”
“Got no clue.”
“Why let it?”
“I had to.”
“You’ve got a choice!”
“…true…”

Last night;
A choice.
Last night
I cut.

Tonight?
Fight or flight?
I‘ve got a choice.
I chose to write.
