Christmas Wish

Then we had thoughts of Christmas’s past.

Now we have a new Christmas at last.

Old songs sing out a wonderful bliss,

children all have a new Christmas list.

Whit settles down all over the land,

Trees are all bare but yet look so grand.

A great nation of people gathers around,

To see Santa’s reindeer rise up from the ground.

He calls them by name delivering gifts,

With all his Elf’s working two or three shifts.

It’s amazing how he can travel around,

No dependence on oil from far away ground.

No matter how many years seem to pass,

There’s always this time that we wait for at last.

The troubles most leave this time of the year,

The bad turns to good with holiday cheer.

Like cookies and candy standing out in a dish,

We all seem to have one great Christmas wish.

So let’s wish in secrete to make it come true,

And hope in our hearts it will last the year through.
