CHRISTMAS WITH THE EVANS`S
The mood has lightened
the heart not so heavy
Onward`s to the festivities
Yum! including the turkey
Up to the sisters we will
gather for Christmas lunch
full belly and squiffy,
homemade wine packs a punch
Home then to unwrap gifts
from me to you
Then I think a little nap
in front of TV, could ensue
My son and daughter home,
who could wish for anything more
C`mon mam lets have a game
of twister here on the floor
Trivial pursuit next definatly
my type of game
As I always win hands down
and put them to shame :-)
A bit of banter as they say
" I know the answers off by heart"
Yeah! yeah! I tell them
could it be, I am just smart
No mam they say
"we both have degrees you know"
my quip back
" where did you get them clever brains though" :-)
I love to see their smiles
their hearts happy, full of glee
Such a tonic Christmas is,
family in harmony
Yes i`m looking forward to it now
Come! oh holy night
Let`s celebrate and be joyful
full of love, laughter and light

Hi Dear Debs,
What a joyous time shared with your precious loved ones. "Christmas With The Evans'es", sounds like everything we could ask for on this so special day. The turkey and trimmings first do we share, with a few glasses of home brew, three if you dare. Forty winks to refresh the brain, then it's time to play some family games. The kids are real lithe, and Twister they win. But, next is Trivial Pursuit, and my brain then kicks in. I always beat them and they're quite perplexed. They say, "We both have degrees! How could you know so much text?" Their smiles bring me much bliss, on each Christmas Day. We laugh and we share love which here always will stay.
