Cocoa [Part I rap]

Cocoa [Part I rap]

Rich girl, tough world.
she hurls
over the toilet seat
cos she just took 30-35
Paroxetine
Ironically,
the end could've been
the easiest part
she ate em with Jameson-
Then took a stroll thru the park
and felt the slowing of blood flowing
into her heavy heart
she started seeing spots in her eyes
only then did she realize
the people who love her
shed be leaving behind
But she was losing time
As she grew more blind

run back home and
grab the phone
she calls her father
knowing it's a no-go
he picks up, saying
"what now, Cocoa?"
"I just took my pills"
"So what's the problem hunny?"
"I took em all, dad"
he laughs, thinkin' it's funny
But then she cries
and he sighs and says
"Fuck, those costed us a lot of money"
"what should I do?"
Her question pushes thru
she's clutching her tummy,
"you need to flush it out"
"How?" cos she don't know-
"drink some milk, hold your gut, and put a finger down your throat."

She does just what he says,
remaining calm from the meds
that just went to her head
get as much out as she can
then reachin to flush the can
her numbness poignant,
she picks up the phone
as her pops says
"I'm so disappointed."
She hits end call on the cell
cos the talk is just pointless-
It just wasn't her time
It's fine-
She'll reschedule that appointment
with the reaper
you think it would teach her,
change her demeanor,
But nah, it ain't nothing profound-
All she thinks is
"I'll get it right next time around,
later I'll take some Klonopin,
and keep those down."
Maybe, or maybe not-
maybe tomorrow....
Says cocoa.
She tells her friends

perhaps as a call for help-
but none show concern for her heath-
but instead, judge her for her wealth-
Some laughing, as if it were a joke
Like, "you a rich bitch,"
"at least you ain't broke."
"At least I'm being honest."
"At least your money can pay off your problems."
β€œAt least you can pay for college”
"At least you aint starving,
like the people down the block,
least you ain't gotta work around the clock."
Tryna tell her she'll live because
of a few extra bucks-
It's clear
none of her peers
give any fucks-
Except for her best friends-
who never loved her for her Benz,
or the extra rooms in her crib,
or her pockets full of bread

Cos they know her pops
pays her off so she don't have to feel a thing-
Cos he don't know how to help her-
so he screws on the silencer
and shoots cash at her.
But what does it matter?
she gon' do what she gon' do-
They don't know what she's going thru-
But I do.
I Do.
I see it like a photo, Cocoa.
I do, it's true.
I Β see it like a photo, cocoa-
Others think your loco
No genuine Β love tho
Changed your name to protect you-
I'll tell my side in part two.
