Cold feet

I stand there in the middle of the street on a rainy day
I got cold feet and I was afraid of what you'd say
Tears run down my face disguised as rain drops without leaving a trace
I want to speak but the words don't seem to leave my lips
Please forgive me for not showing up
I guess what I felt wasn't love
I'm sorry for leaving you all alone at the altar
I must confess I was too scared; I'm a coward
I wish you luck in life
I hope you meet a sweet girl; a good wife
