COLOURS

COLOURS

Blue, yellow and gold, remember now getting old,
so nice to love when there was you I could hold,
sunlight brushed your hair, smile so wonderful,
it led me to worlds I'd nnever known, magical.

Blue argued with green, turned into turquoise,
you chastised me, told me to put away my toys,
but they were square colours, helped me learn from you,
that life is nothing unless you tell me just what to do.

Yellow filtered, cast shadows, figure on the ground,
you floated by like the best thing that I'd ever found,
lemon dessert was so good, then we had 'afters' forever,
whatever you do, it's always best to do it together.

Gold came from the clouds, now nothing's the same,
memorable spirit embrace me because that was your name.
