Have you forgotten chasing blossom,
Forfeiting those colourful dreams
The ambitions, the wishing, adventurous missions
Sadly falling short of how it could have been?
 
Colours of the rainbow seem strange now,
You highlighted each and every one,
A neon sign inspiring a climb
Towards a more innovative sun!
 
Blue and yellow are favoured; your favourite,
When brought together, as ever, produce green,
A positive hue for go-getter you,
Red being the other extreme!
 
Orange offers prism optimism;
Indigo and violet seem so strong ,
Colours of the rainbow provide a vision,
Inspire dreamers to base their longing on!
 
Too many clouds distort thought clarity,
Disparaging moods won't blow away,
Storms bring hope rainbows provoke
In an unbroken arc on display!
 
Solid or weak rainbow colours are unique,
A sight copyrighted by clear skies,
A celebration a spent-storm created
Observed by elevated eyes!
 
All too soon the beauty has vanished,
Vanquished artistic review,
Only photographs, souvenirs of what's passed
Will last as presentable proof!
 
Have you abandoned your hand in chasing blossom,
Tossed all hope and care aside?
The true aim, the strain has all been in vain
While claiming at least you tried!
