Confused

It's amazing when you realize you had an awesome life
Had everything I ever wanted, but I thought it was just alright
Now, I just live through the memories and dwell on the past
Reliving the happy times with every twist of the glass
It's a double edged sword, good and bad
Michelle put me in this situation, but baby reminds me of what I had
Just like a woman, huh? Giving her everything you can give
Puts you through an emotional roller coaster, then you realize it is what is
Damage is already done, doesn't matter what you say or do
Already labeled and judged by people that haven't been through what I've  been through
 
We all come from different walks, so we believe what we believe
To close minded to listen to others, to naive 
Things aren't going to change, stuck in our ways
Got used to getting taken advantage of, praying for better days
Actions speak louder then words, we've heard it all before
So why do people follow the lies and the actions they ignore
I was on drugs, blinded by love 
Millions of excuses, when is enough enough

Everyone has there personal problem, facing the demons within
Something we do for ourselves, but where do we begin
We've seen it over and over , is it really something new?
How bout, wait a second, take a step back and think it through
Let's look at the big picture, what do you really want to achieve?
Who's happier, the one that gives or the one that receives?
I was always taught treat people the way you want to be treated, so I put myself in there shoes 
When I'm open and honest, why are people confused?
