The abandonment of constraints
Brings a special kind of freedom
And fear
 
Free speech is a very dangerous concept
Not embraced
And not understood
 
Few contemplate the consequences
But plenty have paid the price
Some nobly
 
Direct action is an elevation of the incompetent
Often more about blame and envy
Violence is always a last resort
 
Obfuscation is the repeated response to reality
15th century questions and analysis while valued
Seek to circumvent the facts
 
It will always be about the truth and honesty
So frustrating when we all know what that is
But our assumptions won’t take us there
 
Post-truth and all its nasty consequences
Makes some feel good, feel noble
But at the expense of others….
