Controlling the storm

To be original you have to be the first to do it
You can't just say it, you gotta prove it
You have to climb inside the box then set it on fire
Be so different that the competition retire
You need to saddle up and ride the lighting
Here what they say and never stop fighting
You got to think about what has not been done before
Look at the points then shatter the high score
See where everyone else is going then turn around and not panic
And drive center lane into on coming traffic
You can't just slay the dragon make it commit suicide
Be different and authentic and do it with pride
The only way to stand out is to flip it upside down
Then you don't just fit in you take the crown
Give everyone no choice but to talk about you
And why your so different in all that you do
Leave them awe struck and and in shock of your passion
Devote to your cause and don't ever cash in
The world thinks poets are a dying breed
That we will fade and blow out with the breeze
I say no, don't take me for an easy target
My fire is an inferno to big to stop it
I will never stay my pen
Even after the world recognizes poetry as a true art again
I will stand in eye of this storm and bend it to my will
Answers to my voice and begins to stand still
Then the world will truly see
That I am original and poetry is me
