COSMIC WINDS

In this silent corner of space
Cosmic winds race around
A blackened husk
Held in place by
Gravitational pull.
Once a world so full
Of life
Now a barren drifting shell
Where once a vibrant race
Did dwell and rise to glory.
Their story was short and sad
They desecrated all they had
In a mad suicidal rush of
Fevered lust .
They were an aberration
Undeserving of the Gift.
Β A galactic infestation
Whose span was short and swift.
The wailing of souls who sinned
Now echoes in the cosmic wind.
