Poem -

A couple miles from nowhere

People want to hear of emotional things

In stories, poems, and songs that we sing

I’ve grown the skill thru many a years

To be able to give what you desire to hear

Although it flows like water from lakes

I feel no emotion I feel like a fake

A husk of what was once before

The girl I was, she’s not here anymore

I traded her off for the prize of peace

And sold her innocence for a warm place to sleep

I know if I ever became her again

I would consider myself more foe than friend

I’ve became a wolf hunting myself

And traded my soul for my own place in hell
