DADDY'S GIRL

DADDY'S GIRL

His hand holding on my seat
He let go as I headed for the street
He knew that I could do it and I'd be just alright
He believed in me when I learnt how to ride my bike
He never stopped believing in me over the years
Every school event he was there
He even learnt how to braid hair
He always went that extra mile, on his face he wore a smile.

He never asked for help
He did it all alone
He made us kids feel secure
He gave us a loving home
He tucked us up in bed every single night
Told us not to let the 'bed bugs' bite

Dad, thank you for everything you do
                                               I love you.
