"Damage Control"

"When I was younger,
there was a hunger,
to search out,
and meet the world,
but I kept on using,
all the drugs,
I was abusing,
and over the years,
that will was slowly tainted,
and the Devil was my day,
His Fantasy was painted,
and when I almost died,
that illusion was shattered,
and I am finding out,
by staying clean,
that I've always mattered,
and that the drugs,
made it to where I couldn't truly see,
and hindered what I,
could truly be.

Little did I know,
that after I became saved,
I began to grow,
and the real me,
started to show,
and I began to have this glow,
and if I never,
would've gotten clean,
that is something,
I'd never know.

I say all this,
because I wish,
sobriety is something,
you don't pass by and miss,
because it changed my life,
and can change yours too.
It is the start,
of mending that broken heart,
and finally fixing you!"
