Dance With Me

darkness consumed 
the starlit sky 
the warm breeze 
kissed the horizon 
not a soul insight 
other than the very 
one...which 
breathlessly ask 
me to have this 
dance 

music filled 
our space 
causing hearts 
to sing, and feet
to sway 
hands upon 
flesh, as
lips taste 
spilled poetry
suckling the 
syllables
right off the 
tongue 

heated eyes
penetrate 
through walls 
one by one 
making them fall 
the world 
was lost 
as hearts 
were found 
broken pieces 
coming together 
differently 
full of joy 
& strength 
free
no longer 
wrapped in virulent 

tears of joy 
replaced 
tears of pain 
protective arms 
cradled, held 
& swayed 
whispers in ears
voiced intense 
wants 
heated desires
were on, 
as clothes began 
to come off 

piece by piece 
they fell 
as lips 
tasted 
moans began
to release, & tell 
fingers traced
down  the spine 
body tingling 
making you mine 

legs intertwine 
as bodies collide 
hard, wet
fast, then slow 
hang on tight 
don't let go 

layers shed
flesh upon flesh 
embraced tightly 
as hearts & minds 
 are refreshed 

all of  which
was started 
with a dance 
under the stars
