Poem -

Darkness

Here I sit in the darkness
The cold and sightless pit
Both knowing and unknowing this harrowing place
Alone and curled up
Trying to gain some warmth
Looking for some help but only seeing darknessĀ
Suddenly a assault on my eyes
Something so bright and shining
Covering my eyes
Not wanting to see
But curiosity killed the cat
Uncovering them
The light was there
A silhouette of a woman
Crouching in front of me now
She pulled me in
Her warmth removing the cold
Her light forcing out the darkness
